MEMORANDOM FOR CHIEF HUMAN CAPITAL OFFICERS
FROM: KATHRYN MEDINA
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CHIEF HUMAN CAPITAL OFFICERS COUNCIL
Date: November 19, 2010
Subject: PREPARING FOR LAUNCH OF HR DASHBOARD
As you know, OMB and OPM are currently in the final refinement phase of the Human Resources Dashboard for the Federal Performance Portal, Performance.gov, which is now expected to launch in early/mid December. Many of you have seen mockups of the site and many of you have been working with OPM to validate your data that will be used in the dashboard. There are a total of five measures that we will be getting updated data every three months. Many agencies have requested a review period prior to the data being posted on the HR Dashboard. We have the following data that we need to validate with the intent on including it for the December launch:
* Managers’ Satisfaction Survey results
* Applicant Satisfaction results
* 2 year retention data
* Population % for veterans and disabilities
* New hire % for veterans and disabilities
The data will be ready for your review early next week and we understand that some agencies will need at least 10 business days each quarter to validate the data. Please send a primary data validation point of contact to us by COB November 23. OPM will distribute the updated data for validation to this POC each quarter. Please send the contact information of at least one POC per agency to clint.sidwell@opm.gov. Clint will coordinate the data review for your agency.
As a reminder, the data source for the time to hire measure for all hires for 2010 is coming directly from the Human Capital Management Report, due December 15. The time to hire data for all hires should be addressed in the narrative of Section IV Part A. This will be updated on the Dashboard in December as well.
We would also like to know if any agencies have a specific hiring reform website, or a hiring reform page within your website, that we could add as a link from the HR Dashboard. Currently, the agency level on the HR Dashboard has a link to your Department/Agency website, but we’d like to highlight any efforts you’ve included on your site as it relates to hiring reform. Please send any links to clint.sidwell@opm.gov.
