Federal Leadership Thought Forum on Telework – Call for Nominations:

Help make the Federal Leadership Thought Forum on Telework a success!  Please draw upon your experience and nominate leaders from your agency to attend and contribute to the forum discussion.  Nominations must be received by Friday, January 22

The forum will be held March 10, and is sponsored by an interagency White House telework task force, established to identify barriers to adoption and promotion of telework programs in the Federal sector and provide recommendations on overcoming these barriers as a model for all.  The purpose of the Leadership Thought Forum on Telework is to develop actionable perspectives on challenges to the implementation of telework in Federal agencies.  Forum topics will include telework and employee performance, organizational culture, technology, union interests plus others. The point of the forum ultimately is to develop actionable plans.

Please nominate up to three (3) leaders: SES, middle managers, and direct line supervisors who have personal experience with telework. We also want a mix of experiences, including “healthy skeptics.”  Both perspectives are needed to develop viable solutions to the challenges involved.

Justin Johnson, Deputy Chief of Staff, OPM
