Southern Women in Public Service will hold their Annual Conference May 20 and 21 in Tampa, Florida. The training conference is targeted towards public sector leaders and Federal employees. The theme for this year is "Coming Together to Make a Difference."

This two day training qualifies as training in compliance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 41. The training is open to all employees and will provide training and workshops covering leadership challenges and opportunities, presentations, career development.

Federal employees and managers are encouraged to review additional conference and training information when deciding to participate, such as course descriptions, costs, and schedules, at the following website http://www.stennis.gov/swips.htm.

Agencies are reminded that a change to 5 C.F.R. 410 on the reporting of training has become effective as of December 31, 2006. A copy of this final regulation may be found at http://www.opm.gov/fedregis/2006/71-051006-28547-a.pdf to help you comply.
