Jennifer Golder

Ms. Golder started her career in the Federal government as a college summer hire in the Public Affairs office of David Taylor Research Center, now known as the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Bethesda, Maryland.  Upon her graduation from Old Dominion University with a degree in Communication, she joined the U.S. Customs Service as an Administrative Assistant.  She quickly was promoted to a management Information Specialist in the Office of Investigations coordinating the execution of the Department of Treasury Asset Forfeiture Fund resources.  After 7 years in the same agency and office, she decided that it would be beneficial for her long term career to move to a different agency and seek new career opportunities. 

She accepted an offer at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as a program analyst in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer in 1999 and within 2 years, joined the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), as a senior program analyst.  She then held a number of progressively responsible positions in OCIO including Team leader and Deputy Division Director. In 2007 she was accepted into and participated in the NRC’s SES Career Development Program.  Upon completing the program, in 2008, she was selected for the SES position of Director, Program Planning, Budgeting and Program Analysis Staff in a technical program office.  In 2010, she was selected as NRC’s Budget Director in OCFO.  In 2014, she was selected as the Associate Director for Human Resources Operations and Policy, OCHCO, and then in 2016 she served as the NRC’s Chief Learning Officer. 

On March 5, 2017, she transitioned into her current position as Deputy Director, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer.
